Little Lu: A World Within
"Little Lu: A World Within" was co-created by myself and Adriana Rimpel in the summer of 2015. The piece was funded by the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant that I was awarded in 2015.
This poetic shadow puppet show tells the story of a little girl name Lu and her brother Benny who come to live with their Grandfather in his rickety old house. While investigating her new home Lu discovers not everything as it seems.
I designed the visuals and directed the puppet choreography and Adriana Rimpel created the music and soundscapes. The piece was designed to relax children and their caregivers. This is the first story in a series of Little Lu stories that Adriana and Liz hope to create in the future. The larger project will include audio tapes, videos, and live performances.
